WATER
EFFICIENCY - Green
Building Technologies
Water
in buildings is used for showers, water fixtures, toilets, irrigation of
landscaping and for industrial processes. Choosing water-efficient fixtures and
using landscape materials that don’t require irrigation can greatly reduce
water use. Increased water efficiency and therefore decreased use of
potable water can decrease the amount of wastewater that is discharged back into
the environment, it can also help to replenish underground aquifers and other
overused water sources
